About Role

We are looking for a strong, hands-on Salesforce Developer to join a long-term transformation project for a leading California law firm and the number one firm in its niche.

The client has selected Litify, a legal case management platform built on Salesforce. The project is now moving through implementation and migration, with an immediate focus on:

• Migrating case, intake, client, and historical data from Clio to Litify
• Improving the client intake process
• Creating a clear transition from Intake to Matter
• Building the foundation for the complete legal Matter lifecycle

This is not a generic Salesforce support role, and it is not a Solution Architect position. We need an experienced developer who is strong with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, UI customization, integrations, and automation.

You will work with our existing engineering team and directly with attorneys, intake specialists, and business stakeholders. You should be able to understand how people work, identify inefficient processes, and turn business requirements into maintainable Salesforce solutions.

In a typical day at our company, in the role of Salesforce Developer, you will:

• Build legal workflows. Design and implement the Intake to Matter process, Matter stages, attorney assignments, reminders, notifications, document workflows, and other case management functionality.
• Develop Salesforce solutions. Write reliable, bulk-safe Apex and SOQL, create Lightning Web Components, build Screen Flows and record-triggered Flows, and customize Lightning Record Pages.
• Improve the user experience. Build clear and practical Salesforce interfaces for attorneys, intake specialists, and legal staff. Reduce unnecessary steps and make important information easy to access.
• Create integrations. Build and maintain REST API integrations between Salesforce, an existing .NET backend, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, and other external systems.
• Support data migration. Help migrate historical data from Clio to Litify, including data mapping, cleanup, validation, synchronization, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.
• Configure security and reporting. Work with objects, fields, relationships, permissions, sharing rules, validation rules, reports, dashboards, and data access controls.
• Improve engineering delivery. Participate in Git-based development, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment automation, backup, and recovery planning.
• Use AI responsibly. Use tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Codex for technical research, development, debugging, test generation, SOQL, documentation, and migration analysis. You must validate all generated solutions and protect client data.

What will help you succeed in this role?

• Salesforce development experience. At least 2 years of hands-on experience independently designing, building, and troubleshooting Salesforce functionality.
• Strong Apex and SOQL skills. You understand governor limits, bulk-safe development, exception handling, test classes, test coverage, and maintainable Salesforce code.
• Lightning development experience. Hands-on experience with Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flow, Screen Flows, Lightning Record Pages, and Salesforce UI customization.
• Data modeling and security knowledge. Strong understanding of custom objects, fields, relationships, validation rules, permissions, sharing, roles, profiles, and Salesforce security.
• Integration experience. Experience building and maintaining REST API integrations and working with external systems, data synchronization, and integration errors.
• Modern development practices. Experience with Git, source-controlled Salesforce development, code reviews, deployment processes, and CI/CD tools.
• Business and communication skills. Ability to understand complete business workflows, explain technical decisions and risks, and communicate confidently with U.S.-based clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong English and schedule overlap. Strong spoken and written English, with availability for regular working-hour overlap with California.
• AI-assisted development experience. Practical experience using modern AI tools to work faster without blindly trusting generated code or sacrificing engineering quality.

Experience with Litify, Clio, legal technology, Salesforce data migration, .NET integrations, Google Workspace, QuickBooks, GitHub Actions, AWS, or large historical datasets would be a strong advantage.
